Sunday Services

Photo of a worship leader on a sunday morningWhen you arrive on a Sunday Morning Photo of the outside of the churchyou can either park in our church car park, or if that is full then please park considerately on the local streets. The pavements are used by people with children's buggies so please don't block them, and please remember that a bus service passes both sides of the church and needs room to turn.

Our morning starts at 10.30am with a welcome and news of events during the week, and then we continue with a time of worship led by a small band of guitarists, pianists, singers and a drummer. The songs we sing have a modern contemporary feel, and we mix in to those some older more traditional hymns. Whilst many people stand during the worship there are those who like to sit on our comfy pink chairs and others who park themselves on the floor.

Worship is usually followed by communion and then children up to school year 8 go out for teaching. The pre-schools are looked after in a creche by a team of trained volunteers, whilst school year 1 to 8 take part in a variety of activities that help them to understand the message of the week. Whilst the children are away being taught, the rest of us stay behind to hear the message of the week Photo of the worship teamwhich is brought by one of our team of preachers. Following the message, there is usually a short period of worship and an opportunity to respond for those who wish to do so. The morning finishes around 12 noon and free refreshments (tea/coffee/juice and biscuits or cake) are served in our church hall.

Sunday evenings have a more relaxed feel to them - the time of worship is followed by a message. Sunday evenings start at 6pm and car parking is again available at The Coach and Horses if the church car park is full. Sunday evenings finish about 7.30pm, but it is not uncommon to find people still sitting chatting to each other at 9pm.

Dress code in both the morning and the evening is informal and you will find people dressed in anything from jeans to a suit. Why not come along and see what church looks like today?
